What is an L.E.D?
L.E.D. stands for Light Emitting Diode. It’s not a bulb; it does not use a filament. It’s plastic with a phosphorous coating and metal conductor that produces a brighter, whiter light than other bulb types. LEDs last 25,000 to 100,000 hours (depends on type).
Measures of Comparison
Watts: Power Consumption. Measures the electrical power consumed by a light. The higher the watts, the greater the battery consumption.
Lumens: Beam Brightness. The “standard” and most dependable measure of a light's true brightness. The higher the lumens, the brighter the light.
