Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great penlight! I used this penlight everyday at work. Worked flawlessly for over 3 years. I was actually looking online for a new one when I ran across this review page and thought I'd post my opinion. Works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY handy and good quality, evenly distributed light I use this light nearly every day to see in electrical panels and around machinery where there are many poorly lit areas. The even distribution of the light is a big plus as it helps greatly to see the small numbers and letters of the wire markers, and it has a great range for such a small, easy to use flashlight. I recommend this product for many reasons, one of which is the great price. Kudos to Rayovac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best penlight in the world! I work at an eye doctor's office and we can get "professional" mydriatic penlights. This is so we can check dilations and other various things. They all suck. I've bought this particular penlight for 10 years and use it for EVERYTHING! It's bright and long-lasting! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from convenient size This flashlight is short enough to be in the pocket of a pullover shirt. Together with a Pilot G-2 Mini (about the same length), I'm equipped to function in poorly lighted facilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best little LED penlight in the world I had been looking for a good, small LED penlight for some time but had a problem or problems with each one I tried. That is, until I ran into the Rayovac BRSLEDPEN-BA. This penlight is really excellent with a really good design, great white light output and good battery life. As to the design, I will point out that the threads for disassembly (to change the battery), are very large, making it easy to reassemble without cross threading. On every other light I tried out, the threads were very small which is common. However cross threading when reassembling is very likely unless it is done in good light and very very carefully. Once cross threaded, the plastic can't be fixed and the assembly is weakened. If this is done a couple of times, the light might as well be pitched out as it can't be fixed. As to the light output, it is quite good for 3 lumen specs and the beam is round, with a clearly defined boundary. I have gotten useful light with this little penlight outdoors at night; it won't blast the darkness away like the bigger and heavier models, but will provide enough light for walking safely, and seeing much more than could be seen without the light. Finally, it is well made and should last a long time with reasonable care. Many lights use a rear clicking switch for on/off, but all of the ones I've used fail or become unreliable in time, except this one which has a strong click and requires a definite push to activate it; you know for sure it is operating correctly and can't come on accidentally when packed. A really nice touch is the rubberized "grip" just below the bottom of the pocket clip which will aid in keeping the light in your wet or greasy hand. I have used mine extensively with no problems or failures. Highly recommended.
