Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good junk drawer flashlight You can't compare the brightness of these lights to the atypical LED mag-lite type lights. BUT they are plenty good for stashing a few here and there. The base of the flashlight is flat so you can set the light down and aim the beam on the ceiling. And the 2" plastic circle (attached to the base) is great for hanging the flashlight from tent poles, etc. Actually the light produced is perfect for inside rooms and tents. Doesn't burn holes in your eyeballs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hurricane preparedness I begin purchasing items for hurricane preparedness months in advance and when it comes to new items, I give myself enough lead time to give a thorough evaluation. My plan covers going two weeks without power (or anything else for that matter) and/or resupply. When it comes to lights, I'm always looking for best bang for my buck not so much in terms of cost, but lumen, size, battery, and most importantly run time. I also take into consideration that I may loan out lights. In my opinion, the 3 LED 2D flashlight really hits the mark. I bought a single light for testing and if it seemed to function properly, I'd get more for the emergency stash. My greatest concern was with the switch and how long it would work. After a few months of pretty much using it every night, sometimes multiple times a night, it's not showing any issues. 20 lumen is plenty for around the house and I really like the bright white light that is produced. As the description indicates, the light is produced by three led bulbs each producing something of a triangle in throw with the centers crossing in the center of the beam. There's also nice bleed over the edges so the light provides a nice area of coverage, again, nice for navigating in the dark. While different, it's a nice dispersion. As for run time, I only buy alkaline batteries and being that the light is listed as being able to run 150 hours on a set, the run time is excellent. I like the idea that for an emergency, a good set of batteries should last at least two weeks of average use (a few hours a night). In other words, I like not having to worry about the batteries running out during an extended emergency. Even if they did, though, it's always good to have spares. I've since bought an additional five lights, two for the emergency bin, one for camping, one for my Dad, and another for my brother. If you catch the lights during a sale, they go for less than $9 which is a steal for how well the light performs, but even at $9, it's a really good deal. In my opinion, when loaded with alkaline batteries, they make the perfect light for emergencies or everyday use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright light I bought two as I had one of the older light bulb types. This is LED. It's bright! The only difference is the older one had a battery life indicator and cost a few dollars more. I tried to find other flashlights that I liked, Nothing compared. Especially for the price. And they include batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light We love this light, but it is very difficult to find locally. Super tough, super long battery life, reasonable beam pattern, and inexpensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LED Awsome This Industrial design has been very reliable and durable for our company to carry in our school buses. I was happy to find it is now available with LED's. I put some batteries from a dim incandescent in the LED flashlight and it was as bright as with brand new batteries!
